NOTE: This project, and other advanced projects, are normally offered only to models that I have worked with before and developed a mutual comfort. There are exceptions, for example some traveling models who I'll only work with once. Do not feel like doing these projects is a requirement to work with me. They do require more physical contact then normal shoots.
The paints I normally use are all opaque. When I need a sheer effect I will mix the paints with a lotion. it is rubbed on and will tint the skin rather then making a solid color. You will need to be comfortable with me rubbing lotion on any areas that are to be tinted. It is pretty much the same idea as the Large Coverage Area, but may require more coats and rubbing to even out.
I have included an example video.
I have also started using a dry powder based paint for sheer effects. This goes on in two layers, a skin toned gel that is rubbed on with fingers, and then the powder which sticks to the skin where the gel went. The powder can also be applied with fingers, or a brush, depending on the effect desired. This is creating a more smooth effect then the lotion paint, so i am slowly transitioning to these paints for sheer effects.
I do not yet have a video on the powder paints. You can help me make one if you like.
